Welcome

Our lab studies the role of endothelial cells and pericytes in vasculogenic and/or angiogenic diseases.  We have three main areas: (1) vascular tumors (infantile hemangioma), (2) vascular malformations (e.g., capillary malformation), and (3) endothelial to mesenchymal transition (EndMT) in mitral valve endothelium after myocardial infarction and potential for EndMT to contribute to fibrosis and stiffening of mitral valve leaflets.
